consciousness by erasure

This a project modeled after artists Matt Siber and Derek Stroup. By removing all the text, typographic branding, and informational graphics, the artists' awareness of such imagery is heightened. Our perception and understanding of the visual language is addressed. I consider this project relative to media literacy and further research about current visual culture. Ultimately a simple PhotoShop assignment applying useful tools, but hopefully so much more. The resulting images are strange, sublime and poetic.
